Varsity Game Location Changes:
Baseball Work Day on Saturday, Feb. 3 was a wonderful success! We
cleaned the dugouts; weeded and edged; cleaned the concession stand,
press box, locker area and storage room; installed a new net on the roll
cage; and picked up all trash around the baseball stands.
We would like to thank the following parents for their help: Jennifer and
Todd Miller , Leigh Ann Smith, Corinne Mardirosian, Elaine Sorsby, Shirley
Vaughn, Chris & Stephen Janacek, Chris Carlson, Jr. & Sr., Mike Hahn, Steve
Loux, Ron Schultz, Hector Jiminez, Carroll Reed, Mark Reed, Bryan Gould,
David Benninger, Lee Mitchell, Larry Johnson, Don DeLozier, Allan Collier,
Mike Kitterman, Mike Boulanger and Jimmy Daggett. If there are any parents
we missed, please know how much we appreciate all your hard work!
-The first varsity baseball scrimmage is Monday, Feb. 5 at 4 p.m. at Stratford
vs. Klein Forest.
-All sub-varsity and varsity players are now collecting for the baseball
Hit-A-Thon fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. - noon at the SHS
baseball field. Baseball appreciates all support!
-All varsity players will have the opportunity to order a Game Day shirt.
Order forms will be passed out at the Monday, 2/5, scrimmage. Gina Daggett
and Debbie Loux are in charge of this.

Jennifer &Todd Miller & Karla Kitterman have volunteered to take charge of
Concession stand supplies for the season and Allison Weatherall has
offered to head up baseball merchandise. Bryan Gould has volunteered to
be the varsity baseball official photographer. Thank you all!
Baseball Parent's work day on Saturday, February 3rd
What we hope to accomplish:
1. Clean the dugouts, including removing as many mats as possible, washing
them down, and after they dry, gluing them to the floor of the dugouts.
2. Fix the visitor's bullpen, including cleaning the grass out of the dirt,
extending the mound toward the fence, establishing a good landing area for
the catchers, and installing the home plates.
3. Cut off the old net from the roll cage, and installing the new one
4. Clean, organize the storage room next to the press box
5. Clean the press box and locker area behind it
6. Clean the concession stand
7. Paint the dugouts
8. Power wash the brick in front of the dugouts and under the net
9. Throw trash away in the dumpsters next to the cafeteria
Tools Needed:
Push brooms
Blowers
Garden Hoes
Shovels
Rakes
House brooms
Mop/Bucket
Wheel barrows
Sharp cutting tools for nets
Ladders
Painting equipment
* any other tool you have which will help accomplish the tasks listed
above
